Mora Heating & Air is a family-owned Maryland company. We take care of heating and cooling for homes in fourteen towns, from Clarksburg down to Potomac. We find out what is really wrong, put it in writing, and show you the work when it is done.
Most of what gets replaced could have been repaired.
A part fails and the homeowner is told to buy a whole new system. Often nobody checked why the part failed in the first place.
That matters, because when one part goes out, something made it go out. A new part in the same system will wear out the same way. The problem gets kicked down the road, and a few months later the same thing breaks again.
So we look for the cause. Sometimes it is a small part. Sometimes the air is not moving the way it should. Sometimes something was put in wrong years ago and nobody ever went back to check.
When a system really does need to be replaced, we say so, and we show you why. It is not where we start.

Every repair past the diagnostic, and every replacement, gets a written price first. The invoice matches what you agreed to.
Photographed
Photos before and after on every job, with the equipment model and serial written down. You see what you paid for.
Warranty registered
New equipment is registered in your name at install and the paperwork goes in your file, so nothing is lost to a missed form.
What we work on, and what we do not.
If you have a gas or propane furnace, central air conditioning, a heat pump, a ductless mini-split, or a thermostat that is giving you trouble, that is our work. Single-family homes and townhomes.
We also work on hot water boilers and the radiators or baseboard they feed. If your heat comes from hot water instead of a duct, that is still our work.
We do not work on steam boilers, oil-fired equipment, geothermal, or the water-source heat pumps found in some condo buildings that run off a shared building water loop. Staying with what we know well is part of how the work stays good.
