The towns we cover

Germantown, Clarksburg, Boyds, Montgomery Village, Gaithersburg, Washington Grove, Derwood, Redland, Darnestown, North Potomac, Travilah, Rockville, Potomac, and Olney. That is the whole map.

The houses on it were not built in one stretch, which is why two of them a few miles apart have nothing in common. A 1950s Twinbrook rambler in Rockville was built around a duct trunk in a low basement, with returns that are small by any standard used today. A Clarksburg house from the 2000s is coming up on its first replacement instead, still running the equipment the builder chose. Out toward Boyds you are past the gas mains, so heat comes from propane or a heat pump, and both behave differently in a cold snap than a gas furnace does. Same map, different problem, and the brand on the equipment is the smaller half of the answer.

How far we go, and why we stop there

The map ends where we can still get back out to you quickly. A company that drives two hours to a call is a company that cannot come back next week when the part shows up. We would rather cover a smaller area properly.

If you are just outside it, call anyway and we will tell you straight whether we can help or point you to someone who can.
